Our Mission

To improve the quality of life for men and their families through education and early detection.

Prostate cancer often develops without symptoms. Annual testing with PSA and DRE can catch it early — while it's still confined to the prostate and far more curable. That's the whole reason POP exists.

Founded in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Prostate On-Site Project operates two mobile screening units that travel the state of Arizona, making annual screenings easier and more convenient by coming to workplaces, health fairs, and community events — and helping reduce out-of-pocket costs for uninsured and under-insured men.

The Screening Program

We bring the exam to you.

Our two mobile units — the “POP” — travel throughout Arizona giving simple, low- or no-cost prostate exams. Here's how a screening works.

1

Register

Book at an upcoming event or call us. Men 40+ (or 35+ with family history) should screen annually.

2

Get screened

A quick, private 15-minute PSA blood test and DRE on board the mobile unit — no appointment marathon, no big bill.

3

Follow up

Results come with clear guidance. If something looks off, we help you find the right next step — early.

Want a screening near you — or at your workplace?

We schedule on-site events for companies, unions, and community groups across Arizona.

Survivor Stories

A 15-minute check changed everything.

In their own words — men whose cancer was caught early because they got screened.

This program was responsible for the early detection of my prostate cancer. Nearly two years post-surgery, I'm cancer free. I highly recommend this screening.
GDMS Employee
My PSA was low; however Dr. Chan found an abnormality. Long story short, he probably saved my life by detecting this cancer in the very early stages. My da Vinci procedure was highly successful.
William Whiting
The screening showed my PSA had doubled in less than a year. A biopsy revealed prostate cancer. I've since had surgery with a very good prognosis. I encourage every man 40 and older to screen yearly.
